Prof. Majed Odeh completed his M.D. in the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology with the Prize of Excellence on his M.D. thesis. He is the head of the Department of Internal Medicine A' at Bnai Zion Medical Center, Haifa, Israel, for more than fourteen years, and an associate professor of medicine at the Technion Faculty of Medicine. His main research interests include the role of tumor necrosis factor-α in the pathogenesis of various diseases, pathogenesis of hepatic encephalopathy, pleural diseases, obstructive sleep apnea, specific topics in rheumatology, and adverse drug reactions. Prof. Odeh has published more than 220 papers of basic and clinical research in international peer-reviewed medical and physiological journals. He is a permanent distinguished lecturer in medical education and teaching at the Technion Faculty of Medicine for more than 30 years. He is also a winner of more than 40 prizes and awards in basic and clinical research, and medical education and teaching. Prof. Odeh is the winner of <strong>Ig Noble Prize</strong> in the field of <strong>Medicine</strong> for the year 2006. According to Academia institution at San Francisco, CA, USA, his name is mentioned by one of the top 0.5% most read authors on Academia in the year 2019. According to the new grading of scientists in the world by Stanford university, USA, published in PLoS Biology 2019;17(8):1-6, and in PLoS Biology 2020;18(10):1-3, Prof. Odeh is included among the top scientists in the world for citations of their published manuscripts for the year 2019 and 2020. He has served and is serving as an Editorial Board Member of more than 20 international medical journals, and Reviewer of more than 50 international medical journals. </p>
