Karin Josefsson completed her PhD in Clinical Elderly Research at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. Karin became an associate professor in 2012. She has worked many years as a registered nurse in elderly care, and also has more than two years full time in pedagogy. Today she works as a senior lecture, mainly with student at advanced and research level, for example those who receives Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Nursing - Primary Health Care and Elderly Care, as well as Master of Science in Caring Science and . She has published 30 papers in scientific journals, more than 25 papers in popular sciences journals, textbooks and serving as a reviewer in several scientific journals. She has in gerontology and geriatric a special focus on staff in municipal elderly care and home care, mainly on their work situation, competence, education, telephone advice, threat and violence, leadership, their health and the good work. Other main areas are the aging person, relatives, and informal careers. Karin has worked within the areas elderly care and home care on a local, regional, national and international level. She is research leader in Elderly Research at the Faculty of Caring Science, Work Life and Social Welfare, Borås. Karin is also super visor for Phd-students in and project leaders in elderly care areas.
