<span style="color: rgb(32, 31, 30);"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-size: 11pt;">Zhiqiu Xia received her M.D. from Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University. Then she took her residency in anesthesiology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. She finished her Ph.D. training at the University of Nebraska Medicine Center researching the role of cardiac spinal afferent reflex in chronic heart failure. Her research interest includes neural mechanisms to mediate cardiovascular function in normal and disease states and mechanisms of intestinal ischemia/reperfusion injury. She is also interested in clinical research of critical care, pain management, and anesthesia.
