Very recently, I won a competitive PostDoctor Internship (2016) at Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale (INSERM) in Dijon France, under a project entitled "Functionalization of Tumor Necrosis Factor-Related Apoptosis-Inducing Ligand on Celecoxib-Loaded Nanoparticles to Overcome Cancer Multi-Drug Resistance". In 2013, I won a short grant about "Nano-Drug Delivery for Cancer and Hepatitis C Therapy" at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute (PRI) of the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), NY, USA.
I am a researcher at the National Research Center (NRC) in Egypt and I received my Bachelor in Biochemistry with the first rank and honors degree from Ain Shams University in 2007, followed by a M.Sc. (2011) and a Ph.D. (2015) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (Hepatitis C Virus and Host Genetic Responses) from Cairo University (approved by Rostock University in Germany and University of Hong Kong in China). From 2008 up to date, my projects focused on "Cancer, Cancer Virology, Signaling Pathways, Metabolism, and Targeted Nano-Delivery" as well as "HCV Response", yielding over 20 peer-reviewed publications (H-index=7).
In 2012, I won a grant at Qatar Foundation, Stars of Science program, Season 4, Doha to apply an innovative idea of "A novel HCV Response Diagnostic Kit". From 2012 to 2016, I got an experience in "Cancer Metabolism" at Zewail City of Science and Technology (Zewail is a Nobel laureate). Moreover, I got a program entitled: "Lab Biosafety and Understanding Nanotechnology and its Implications" from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (citi), Miami University, USA. Furthermore, I was appointed in the Editorial Board of some international journals such as International J of PharmTech Research, J of Clinical Microbiology and Biochemical Technology, and J of Clinical Oncology and Practice. Moreover, I attended as a speaker in different international conferences in New York and Texas, USA.
