Dr. Kabirullah Lutfy (Ph.D.) is a Full Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Western University of Health Sciences (Pomona, California, USA). He completed his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology at University of California, Irvine (UCI, Irvine, California, USA). He received his postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. Nigel T. Maidment at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA, California, USA). Dr. Kabirullah Lutfy is a pharmacologist with research interest in the field of pain and addiction, and the negative impacts of such addictive behaviors on energy homeostasis (e.g., obesity and type 2 diabetes) as well as on mental health (e.g., anxiety and depression). He has outstanding records of scientific and academic accomplishments with multiple research funding, numerous publications in highly prestigious journals and various presentations in both national and international conferences. He also serves as an editorial board member for several journals and regularly reviews articles for more than 30 scientific journals.
